Return Merchandise Policy

 

All items are guaranteed to be top quality merchandise upon delivery.  Any product not meeting this standard may be returned in the exact same condition as they were received, no later than their next call day.  No price stickers, no partial units, no ripped open or lost cartons etc.

 

Exceptions to the policy are as follows:

 

Cigarettes:

All cigarette cartons are fully guaranteed if resalable.  If product is stale, the cigarette manufacturer’s reps must authorize returns, and one dollar will be deducted for handling. Cigarette packs will only be accepted in full cartons of the same “family”.  Tri-Mart must also receive a turnover order equal to cartons returned.  (Our sales force is responsible for our HOUSE BRANDS, which include Eagle, Private Stock, Mainstreet,. Shield, Golden Palace)

 

Cigars/Tobacco/Snuff:

All domestic cigars & tobacco are guaranteed if stale and only if sold to you by a Tri-Mart Rep.  Exception: Premium cigars are NOT guaranteed.

 

Candy:

National brands guaranteed for freshness and packaging. Seasonal candy NOT guaranteed. Items shelf-worn, heat or sun damaged are NOT guaranteed. 

 

Old Dutch Chips:

Guaranteed if salesperson is in control of ordering and product is properly rotated.

 

Groceries:

Tri-Mart will guarantee up to 50% of invoiced cost.  Any credits requested in excess of $25.00 must be authorized first.

 

 

Cooler/Frozen:

Two-week shelf life guaranteed at time of delivery.  NOT GUARANTEED  for shelf life once delivered.  It is the stores responsibility to check dates and liquidate products prior to outdating.

 

Batteries & Film:

NOT GUARANTEED.

 

 

 

 

 

HBC:

NOT GUARANTEED. Overstock that is in sellable condition and within 6 months dating can be returned with discretion of sales person/account manager.

 

Sundries - General Merchandise - Sunglasses:

NOT GUARANTEED.   Exception:  Sunglasses 100% guaranteed.

 

Beverages:

NOT GUARANTEED  for shelf life.  It is the stores responsibility to check dates and liquidate products prior to outdating.

 

Paper Products:

Guaranteed… Must be returned in original packaging (if purchased by the case, the FULL case must be returned) and be purchased from Tri-Mart.

 

Sandwiches:

NO RETURNS on any sandwiches except   Good Stuff, provided the Tri-Mart Rep. has full control of inventory and a 2-week dating system has been followed.

 

Seasonal & Holiday Items:

NO RETURNS unless otherwise specified.

 

Glassware:

NO RETURNS on any special orders.

 

Close Out Items:

NO RETURNS.

 

Equipment:

Covered under manufacturers warranty only. NOT A GUARANTEED SALE.

 

Special Event Orders:

Stock Items ONLY.  Due to the added expense of inventory and delivery on special event orders, any returns on partial orders will carry a 25% restocking fee.

 

·        It will be Tri-Mart’s decision to charge a restocking fee to unusual return requests. It is Tri-Mart’s goal to be as fair as possible to our customers, but in some cases a restocking fee may be necessary.
